Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College The Entrance Campus
The Entrance Campus is the senior campus of Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College. It is established as a more adult working and learning environment offering multiple pathways to the HSC and beyond. Our motto of "New Horizons" and core values of "Respect, Responsibility and Relationships" engages students, staff and the community in working together to develop confident, socially aware and involved young adults who can make significant contributions to the broader community. This Campus offers the broadest range of subject choices and pathways to the HSC or Year 12 equivalent on the Central Coast, including academic, vocational, sports and trade training. The Campus prides itself on its ability to cater for diversity. The age of students and their unique needs permeates the Campus, driving decision making and planning. Innovative programs engage young people in demonstrating increased personal responsibility within a supportive school environment. Students excel in academic, cultural, sporting, creative, performance, vocational and community-based endeavours; many, while balancing part-time employment. Close links with local businesses sees a highly successful vocational education program lead to longer term employment and the establishment of a clear career pathway. This is enhanced through our trade training program that specialises in building/construction and hospitality with industry standard facilities that allow students to develop trade and employment skills. The Campus also has a Support Unit that allows students to achieve their HSC in tailored and transition to work programs as well as three Year 7 - 12 classes for emotionally disturbed students. The College structure provides exceptional opportunities for our students, allowing students and staff alike to pursue their 'personal best' in their chosen area/s. As a school community we are duly proud of our academic, sporting and cultural achievements.
