The Hills Sports High School
The Hills Sports High School, located in Seven Hills, is a 7 to 12 co-educational high school that values academic and sporting excellence. The school provides a progressive education in a dynamic and caring educational environment with highly qualified and dedicated teaching staff. The school also includes a support unit for students with special needs taught by highly trained specialist teachers. The Talented Sports Program (TSP) is designed for elite athletes in 14 different sporting fields and entry is by application, skill and fitness assessment. TSP students are coached by qualified coaches to develop their sporting ability and they are supported to reach both sporting and academic goals. The comprehensive curriculum provides opportunities for all students to complete a successful Higher School Certificate, including alternative pathways to reach a successful conclusion to Year 12. These alternate pathways to the HSC, including VET courses, traineeships and apprenticeships support all students to achieve academic goals and also to 'strive for success'. The school has received awards for outstanding literacy and numeracy achievements and also for the outstanding work of the Learning Support Team. Our facilities include a modern library, state of the art technology facilities, a fitness centre, swimming centre, sporting fields and resources to support the TSP program.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories.
