Kariong Mountains High School
Established in 2010, Kariong Mountains High School strives to incorporate its core values of unity, knowledge and respect in all aspects of curriculum and organisation, with the purpose of developing students into successful and responsible citizens of the twenty first century. The school has a biosciences focus and specialises in providing learning opportunities in this field, forging partnerships with related industries and businesses. Our dedicated, enthusiastic, caring teachers and support staff aim to provide innovative academic, sporting and cultural programs in a caring and supportive environment in which all students can grow into confident learners. Our school is well resourced, with modern facilities and utilises a range of technologies to support learning in the classroom. Our reflective practice ensures that we continue to improve learning outcomes as the school grows, seek the collaboration of our community and students in making decisions and adopt processes that support learning for students with learning needs and students who are gifted and talented.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories. We strive to ensure every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learner in NSW achieves their potential through education.
