Banora Point High School

Banora Point High School was established in 2004. We serve a diverse community with a considerable representation of lower socio-economic families. We offer a fully comprehensive education from Years 7 to 12, including gifted and talented programs in curriculum, cultural and sporting areas. Our school includes a special education unit for students with a range of learning and physical disabilities. Our motto 'Reach for the stars' reflects our core belief that every student is important and can achieve his or her goals with support. A strong student welfare focus underpins our academic, cultural, social and sporting programs. Students are encouraged to participate in a broad range of experiences to develop their skills and confidence for the world beyond school. We have developed strong community links to support students in their learning. Vocational education and post-school options are a priority. The Aurora Learning Community is a growing feature of our school as we develop the K to 12 continuum with our partner primary schools.
