Lake Munmorah High School

Lake Munmorah High School offers a diverse curriculum that caters to the academic, vocational, creative and social needs of young people. Our learning programs are designed to challenge, engage and support students. We work closely with the three partner schools comprising our Lakes Learning Community- Lake Munmorah Public, Mannering Park Public and Gwandalan Public. Lake Munmorah High School students enjoy the benefits of working in a modern (est 2000) well-equipped facility with highly qualified, caring and dynamic teachers. The school has an enrolment of approximately 760 students, 78 of whom are identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. We value the support of our local community and endeavour to consolidate a sustainable approach to learning in a way that guarantees success into the future. The school plan is founded on the belief that in order to ensure effective learning the focus must be on the development of the whole child. We believe there is a strong relationship between the academic (including a focus on literacy and numeracy), physical, mental and socio - cultural needs of students, and that they are of equal importance and crucial to ensuring successful educational outcomes.
