Woollahra Public School is a large vibrant school with a diverse student population in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. We have an enrolment of 700 plus students organised into 29 classes (2015), 14 K to 2 and 15 in Years 3-6, with 44 per cent of students originating from language backgrounds other than English. As part of the CoSIES group 'Community of Schools in the Eastern Suburbs' we continue to move from strength to strength receiving the directors award for 'Outstanding Contributions to Public Education' in 2014. The inclusive caring environment, in which strong student welfare practices underpin all aspects of day to day school life, ensures student well-being, happiness and responsibility. The highly skilled and dedicated teaching team is committed to supporting all our students so they become successful learners, confident and creative individuals and active and informed citizens. This is achieved through the provision of quality educational experiences, both academic and extracurricular. Learning in our classrooms is stimulating and relevant, ensuring outstanding student achievement. Four OC classes in years five and six complement and extend the school's gifted and talented program. We cater for all aspects of the creative arts through a broad range of extracurricular activities. We have valued partnerships with our parents and the wider community. The involved parent body is dedicated to contributing to the enhancement of the school's programs.
