Darlinghurst Public School

Darlinghurst Public School (DPS) is nestled near St.Vincent's Hospital in the inner-city. The school was established in 1883 and has heritage classified buildings. It has leafy, green surrounds with decorative brickwork buildings dating back to 1853. The historical building contains most of the classes, and like the tree, is a dominant feature of the school. Darlinghurst Public School, with its enrolment of over 300 students, is a growing, diverse inner city school. The school motto is 'Strive to Achieve' and there is an expectation that students achieve excellence through best practice teaching.
