Havenlee School
Havenlee School is a special school for students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. Some students also have physical disabilities, genetic disorders, autism, emotional disturbance and complex medical needs. It is a part of the continuum of special education services that are available within NSW Public Schools for students with disabilities. The students at Havenlee School range from Pre-School to Year 12. They are provided with a relevant and engaging curriculum that is derived from the NSW Board of Studies syllabus documents from Early Childhood to Year 12. Technology has been incorporated as a major feature of the teaching and learning programs for students as it makes participation in the curriculum more accessible for all students and increases student engagement in learning. Our school community is enriched by sharing a site and facilities with North Nowra Public School. Programs are in place that enable the students and staff from both schools to interact and support each other in the pursuit of excellence and equity in education.
