Caroline Chisholm School
Caroline Chisholm School is a special education setting located in the south western region of Sydney catering for the needs of students with moderate / severe intellectual and multiple disabilities from pre-school to Year 12. The school strives to develop student independence through the provision of a happy, safe and educationally sound learning environment based on effective partnerships between home, school and the community. Whole school programs continue to place strong emphasis on student welfare initiatives and improving student learning outcomes with a focus on communication, community access, social/emotional learning and the use of technology. Specialist classes are provided in the areas of visual and performing arts, music, library and Personal Development/Health/Physical Education. All students are provided with an individualised learning program based on the Board of Studies syllabus K to12, developed in conjunction with parents, staff and other relevant stakeholders.
