Ferncourt Public School
Ferncourt Public School is located in South Marrickville, alongside the Cooks River, in an area known as 'The Warren'. The administration building (circa 1886) and pleasant classrooms are surrounded by award-winning grounds. With an enrolment of around 360 students we offer your child a happy and stimulating place to learn. We aim to produce enthusiastic, self-motivated children with a love of learning. Skilled and dedicated teachers deliver innovative and challenging educational programs. We also offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities with an emphasis on the creative arts and physical fitness. Activities include choirs, training and performing bands, dance groups, recorder groups and PSSA sport. At Ferncourt we emphasise core values which include mutual respect, integrity, acceptance, inclusiveness, citizenship and care for the environment. Facilities include a computer laboratory, interactive whiteboards, a connected classroom and a well-resourced library. We have a comprehensive buddy and peer support system and teach and promote the 'Bounce Back!' resilience program. Our active and creative Parents and Citizens Association works enthusiastically to enrich the lives of students and their families.
