Estella Public School
Estella Public School is a newly established school, opening to staff and students on Monday 27th January 2021. Located north of the Murrumbidgee River in the suburb of Estella, Wagga Wagga, Estella Public School is built on the lands of the traditional owners, the Wiradjuri people. Built to support our rapidly growing community, our school is designed to accommodate up to 480 students. The school was built using Design for Manufacture Assembly (DfMA) building methods and features 16 state of the art classroom, specifically designed to facilitate innovative, flexible and collaborative teaching and learning styles. Our setting also includes special programs rooms for activity-based learning, purpose-built hall, library, outdoor multipurpose activity areas, canteen and administration and staff facilities. Our school provides an inclusive, caring and dynamic environment where every student is known, valued and cared for. Our experienced and dedicated staff are committed to evidence informed, explicit teaching, that is responsive to student needs and drives a supportive culture of high expectations. Comprehensive curriculum and learning programs enrich and foster success in academic endeavour, sport and the arts and enhances the academic growth and wellbeing of all students. Estella Public School has established strong partnerships with our local and wider communities. We work collaboratively with our local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) and have joint agreements with Charles Sturt University (CSU) and Wagga Wagga City Council (WWCC). Our school also has a highly supportive and productive P and C Association who meet once a month; and Their Care is our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) provider, who support our families in delivering before and after school care for students.
