Shell Cove Public School
Shell Cove Public School, established in 2005 and nestled next to the beautiful Killalea State Park on the South Coast of NSW, stands as a beacon of excellence. As one of 20 Public Private Partnership schools in the state, our school embodies the motto "Sailing the Seas of Excellence," reflecting the aspirations and high expectations of our vibrant community, dedicated students, and committed staff. With 446 students thriving in 18 mainstream classes, Shell Cove Public School excels in 12 elements from the School Excellence Framework (SEF). We take pride in our exceptional attendance rates and the remarkable performance of our staff, who continually inspire our students to be active participants in their learning journeys. Through a combination of explicit teaching, effective feedback, data-informed practices, thorough assessments, and a strong focus on positive wellbeing, we cultivate an environment of continuous self-reflection and improvement. We deeply appreciate the insights gained from our situational analysis, which emphasises our dedication to fostering growth in literacy and numeracy, particularly for students in the top two bands. The information from the Tell Them From Me (TTFM) survey further highlights our commitment to prioritising the welfare of both staff and students. Additionally, the increase in students from EALD backgrounds enriches our school community, prompting us to enhance our support systems and celebrate the diversity that strengthens our learning environment. Together, we are proud to navigate the seas of excellence, continually striving for the best outcomes for every student at Shell Cove Public School.
