Ironbark Ridge Public School
Ironbark Ridge Public School is a modern, attractive school situated in the growing northwestern Sydney area of Kellyville/Rouse Hill. The school has maintained steady enrolment in recent years, with approximately 800 students attending in 2024, and has developed a well-deserved reputation for the quality and variety of educational experiences on offer to students. Our school vision is Nurturing personal growth through inspired learning. A focus on high impact Literacy and Numeracy learning programs, differentiated instruction, and explicit teaching of learner habits prepares all students for the future. The core values of the school are articulated through the motto: Strength - Respect - Excellence, and this is supported by our Positive Behaviour for Learning program with expectations that all community members are Safe, Respectful, Responsible Learners. Students are encouraged to develop resilience and a strong sense of school spirit and belonging, with school citizenship and student agency encouraged through student leadership, peer mediation and House Spirit programs. Students who may be experiencing some difficulties with their learning are expertly supported through our highly effective Learning Support program. We have a strong extra-curricular sporting record with students participating in a wide range of sports including weekly interschool sport and Fundamental Movement Skills programs. The school operates an Opportunity Class (OC) for Years 5 and 6 students, with places offered by the NSW Dept. of Education following a state-wide assessment program. The school is supported and valued by the local community, with an active Parents and Citizens Association operating the school uniform shop with volunteers, as well as fundraising to support student learning.
