Broulee Public School

Our school is a leading centre for education innovation for approximately 370 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. It is student focused and students will always be our first priority. We have high expectations for all students in becoming 21st century learners - "students who are masters with content not just masters of content." The school is running a number of very successful programs including Mindfulness, Environmental, STEM and Sporting programs. We also have an award winning Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT) program. A range of digital technologies are also used as tools to assist in delivering an engaging and challenging curriculum. Special project groups that offer a highly diverse negotiated curriculum additionally nurture students. In recent years we have won a number of regional, state and national awards including the Director General's Award of Excellence for the program Parent Partnerships - Collaborative Schooling. This program acknowledges the integrated efforts of the home, community and the school and fosters the concept that Learning is "life long" and occurs 24/7/365. The school has also recently been recognised in a number of national and international publications (The Australian Educational Leader, Australian College of Educators, Health Matters, SCAN). We are inclusive and respect and celebrate diversity and difference. The school is located in an ideal position on the South Coast of New South Wales. The playgrounds are surrounded by native bush gardens and are in close proximity to the local beach. We are an integral part of our local community and together we have a key role in creating a sustainable environment. • School Vision -  To create a passion for life long learning, with a commitment to innovative, flexible and creative thinking. • Mission Statement  We are a school that is: - teaching 21st century skills, - learning in an exciting engaging environment, - valuing individuality and creativity, - developing confidence, excellence and leadership skills.
