Grahamstown Public School

Grahamstown Public School is situated in the Lakeside area of Raymond Terrace, New South Wales and has established strong community support since it began operations in 1994. The school's motto, 'Growth Pride Success', and values of 'Respect, Responsibility and Pride' are supported by the four school rules of Act Safely, Be Respectful, Cooperate and Do Your Best. These values and rules are supported by our school vision of : Together we grow with pride, learn for life and strive to be the best that we can be! Grahamstown Public School's high profile in the community is a reflection of the positive and friendly school environment; high quality teaching and student welfare practices; extensive extra-curricular programs offered to students; the focus on student leadership; and a tradition of innovative and inclusive programs. Enrolment levels now allow for 13 classes, with the majority of students coming from the immediate neighbourhood. Approximately 14% of students are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background and 10% are from defence force families linked with the nearby Williamtown Air Base. The NSW Board of Studies curriculum is supported by strong programs in performing arts, sport and student leadership. The school community has greatly assisted the school in providing excellent facilities for enhanced programs for all students. Grahamstown Public School proudly caters for students of all backgrounds and abilities. Parents and community are invited to contact the school to gain more information about our award winning programs and school achievements.
