Glendenning Public School
Opened in 1995, Glendenning PS provides a rich, comprehensive range of learning programs to approximately 550 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our school's staff members strive to provide excellence in education to benefit each individual, the school and wider community. The core values of the school are for, students, staff and parents and community members to be safe, respectful learners. Ours is a school where excellence in scholarship and citizenship is valued and celebrated. Teaching staff deliver curriculum activities in a comprehensive, differentiated, relevant, challenging and interesting way. All teachers strive to include the development of 21st century learning qualities, strategies and habits, in all activities. Community involvement and participation in decision making involves opportunity for everyone to ensure our shared development. Dedicated staff members implement strong student welfare practices to ensure the school provides a well-organised, predictable and caring environment. Our staff members believe that quality education is delivered when they are enthusiastic and committed to ongoing development of their skills, they focus on literacy and numeracy and they continue to offer a wide range of learning experiences from other key learning areas. Our unique features, include a diverse multicultural student background and links with other schools such as Mt Druitt PS with whom we collaboratively undertake professional learning.
