Barnier Public School
Barnier Public School's mission is to develop lifelong learners who are outstanding citizens. The school is underpinned by a philosphy that schools are about children, that our students' world is immersed in technology and so schools should replicate this world. Our school has placed a heavy emphasis on the delivery of the curriculum through technology to develop the most engaging learning environment possible. Our school has facilities that are 'state of the art' and has pioneered the development of the the integration of technology into teaching and learning. Students access technology from each of the networked classrooms and the technology centre in the library. There is a minimum of seven computers in every classroom and up to seventeen in our senior classes. A culture of high expectation for student learning is emphasised in all teaching and learning programs. We continually benchmark and monitor our students' progress in literacy and numeracy. Each of our students has a personal learning program designed to cater for his or her individual needs. We provide a broad range of extra curriculum programs including creative and practical arts, sport, debating and environmental education
