Hassall Grove Public School
Hassall Grove Public School is the largest primary school in the Mount Druitt District. The school has a focus on literacy and numeracy to improve learning outcomes across the curriculum. Students have many opportunities to engage with modern technology through access to computers, smartboards and the internet in all classrooms together with participation in video-conferences. Students enjoy an extensive program in the performing arts featuring choirs and dance as well as chess, debating and oral reading and public speaking competitions. Students have access to a comprehensive sports program including inter-school competitions in major sports carnivals, in-school sports and swimming classes. Students enjoy excursions related to their learning, including camping programs for the senior years. Student successes are celebrated at regular assemblies, on the school's Facebook page and on the school's website. The Student Representative Council facilitates student participation in school governance. The school is a happy, safe place where learning is interesting, challenging and underpinned by the core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and fairness. The school enjoys wide ranging community support.
