Hambledon Public School is situated in the Quakers Hill area. Our school has been established now for 25 years. Our school receives strong support from parents and the wider community and there is considerable pride in its achievements. Hambledon Public School is committed to providing a vibrant and innovative learning community that engages every child in learning excellence. Through a nurturing environment that values diversity and engages the community with strong personal values, we will allow students to explore and connect with the world so they become confident, creative and visible learners who have the skills to succeed in the future. We view learning as a lifelong process providing challenging learning programs and quality teaching practices, implementing quality assessment and reporting processes, developing self esteem, motivation, self discipline, independence and a positive attitude to learning, promoting positive partnerships within the school community, using technology and available resources to maximise opportunities for effective learning and encouraging cooperation, respect and tolerance.The school is at the forefront of modern technology with interactive panels, iPads, surface tablets and access to ozobots, spheros and lego robotics in all rooms, a well equipped computer room, networked computers in each classroom, a connected classroom and a modern research centre. Parents have instant access to school information through our online newsletter, school app and school website. Our pupil welbeing policy focuses on instilling positive values and behaviours in our students.

Maintenance

To ensure the safety, reliability and longevity of our schools, every school across NSW receives maintenance. The Department undertakes preventative and routine maintenance every year, and repairs as needed. The Department also reviews the planned maintenance program for each school every year and reviews those items that are predicted to require work to help prolong the life of the school buildings and facilities.

Demountables

Demountables have been part of the NSW education system for many decades and will continue to be used across the state. Demountable classrooms are modern, air-conditioned rooms that provide students and teaching staff with excellent quality facilities. The learning spaces have the same range of technology that is available in permanent spaces. We review school accommodation needs each year, looking at changing enrolment patterns and other factors to prepare for the upcoming school year. This helps to identify schools that need new demountables and schools where they can removed. Most demountable movement takes place between October and February and we report our annual demountable statistics each April. Additional demountable installations can occur outside this window to support capital works and maintenance projects in schools or emergency responses to natural disasters.
