Bligh Park Public School
Our school is a positive environment where children are safe, respectful and responsible learners. We believe that all students can learn and that they achieve at different rates and in a variety of ways. We cater for our diverse learners through a focus on quality teaching strategies, integrating learning styles, differentiating the curriculum, infusing thinking tools and technology tools to maximise all student opportunities and prepare them for their place as twenty-first century learners. A whole-school philosophy exists where all teachers share ownership for decision-making, planning, teaching, learning, student welfare and professional learning. We have a strongly collaborative and inclusive culture working cohesively within a school team leadership framework. A performing school band, school dance groups, a strong focus on environmental education, innovative integration of technology for learning and connected learning are unique features of the school. Bligh Park School is a focal point within the community for many extra-curricular activities and a meeting place for community members. Strong parental involvement has resulted in a highly supportive school community.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories. We strive to ensure every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learner in NSW achieves their potential through education.
