At Edensor Park Public School we are committed to fostering the development of the whole child by building a positive culture and being active citizens. The school motto 'Achieving Together' not only creates a sense of belonging, but encourages all students to do their best. Edensor Park Public School was established in 1989. There are approximately 300 students enrolled from Kindergarten to Year 6. Students come from diverse language backgrounds with approximately 83% from language backgrounds other than English. There are 29 languages represented within the school community. The parent community values education and have high expectations for their children. Edensor Park Public School is staffed by highly-qualified and experienced teachers, whose dedication and professionalism contribute towards a well-managed school. The school prides itself on the excellent education programs offered, assisting students to develop and extend on their academic talents in a safe and supportive environment. An open-door policy operates within the school environment, encouraging good communication between the school and its community.

New public preschool: Edensor Park Public Preschool

As part of the plan to rebuild public education, the NSW Government is investing $769 million to deliver 100 new public preschools, including building public preschools at new government primary schools in NSW, to boost access to public preschool across the state. The 100 new public preschools will be co-located on public school sites, including new and redeveloped school sites, helping more children access a preschool program before starting school. Work is underway for a new public preschool at Crawford Public School. The new public preschool will provide a safe and engaging environment for preschool children. It will feature specially designed rooms and a quality outdoor play area. The construction of the preschool is expected to be completed in time for Day 1 Term 1 2027 to accommodate up to 40 children per day.

LED Upgrade

The $157.8 million LED Lighting Upgrade Program will install new LED lights in up to 1,000 public schools across NSW. This means reduced operating costs for schools and improved learning environments and outcomes for our students.

Maintenance

To ensure the safety, reliability and longevity of our schools, every school across NSW receives maintenance. The Department undertakes preventative and routine maintenance every year, and repairs as needed. The Department also reviews the planned maintenance program for each school every year and reviews those items that are predicted to require work to help prolong the life of the school buildings and facilities.

Schools Renewal

The $240 million Schools Renewal Program aims to accelerate projects that will improve the amenity of schools and kick start local jobs for local communities. This is a co-funded program, with each school contributing up to 50 per cent of the project cost.

Demountables

Demountables have been part of the NSW education system for many decades and will continue to be used across the state. Demountable classrooms are modern, air-conditioned rooms that provide students and teaching staff with excellent quality facilities. The learning spaces have the same range of technology that is available in permanent spaces. We review school accommodation needs each year, looking at changing enrolment patterns and other factors to prepare for the upcoming school year. This helps to identify schools that need new demountables and schools where they can removed. Most demountable movement takes place between October and February and we report our annual demountable statistics each April. Additional demountable installations can occur outside this window to support capital works and maintenance projects in schools or emergency responses to natural disasters.
