At Wiley Park Public School we believe in creating a happy and safe environment that values student learning and achievement. We aim to develop all students to become confident, independent learners, respectful citizens, creative and critical thinkers. We achieve this through providing engaging learning experiences, developing positive relationships and by working collaboratively with the school and wider community. We continue to develop and foster strong working partnerships with The Metro Migrant Resource Centre, Notre Dame University, Western Sydney University - Classroom without Borders, Catholic Care, Canterbury City Community Centre, Good Beginnings Australia, our local Schools as Community Centre, the Bankstown Women's Resource Centre, Campsie Police Command, Canterbury Council, BCA National Training Group and The Australian College of Physical Education. Wiley Park Public School is situated in the south-western Sydney region. Our school has a diverse multicultural community with 98% of students from a language background other than English, including Arabic, Bengali, Pacific Communities, Vietnamese, Pakistani, Indonesian, and African countries. It currently has 570 students and 25 classes, which includes four Special Education classes, supporting children with special needs. The school has a very strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy with specialist teachers supporting all classrooms during literacy and numeracy sessions. Our school motto, "In Knowledge We Grow" is embedded in the differentiated teaching and learning programs offered as well as the additional opportunities available to all students.  The school has a focus on academic achievement, and we offer a Creative and Performing Arts program that includes drumming, whole school vocal and specialised music tuition, additionally we have a whole school physical fitness program three days a week. The school has a variety of quality well-being and leadership programs and opportunities, including an active Student Representative Council (SRC), Peer Support, Captains and Office Monitors as well as an established Social Room and Chill Out area where children can go at lunchtime to engage in quiet play with quality resources and teacher supervision. The school supports the integration of a range of technologies in the classroom including, LED interactive screens, iPads and Chrome NoteBooks.  All staff are engaged in Professional Learning on how best to use technology in a quality learning environment to enhance their teaching in all Key Learning Areas.
