Tanilba Bay Public School
Tanilba Bay Public School is situated on the western edge of Port Stephens. Since being established in 1982 it has become very much a community school. Many parents were once Tanilba Bay students. The school is committed to providing a safe, caring and self disciplined learning environment which is fair to all students. We strive to maintain a school culture that is tolerant, innovative and collaborative and establishes strong learning foundations focused on literacy, numeracy and familiarity with technology. Our staff are committed to implementing quality assessment and reporting processes. The school values parent involvement and participation in all school activities both inside and outside the classroom. We see establishing a culture of continuous improvement as a whole school community priority and are consistently reviewing our practice and developing ways to improve how we teach to improve academic and social outcomes for our students.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories. We strive to ensure every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learner in NSW achieves their potential through education.
