The Grange Public School

The Grange Public School serves a culturally diverse community in Minto, south west Sydney. The school community emphasises the provision of a caring and supportive environment in which learners will develop their full potential in all key learning areas.We aim to provide a learning culture which supports self discipline, self esteem, knowledge and understanding, flexibility and  persistence through the Habits of Mind Program. At The Grange Public School, our motto is " Learning our Way to the Future". Student learning is enhanced by teaching all students 21st century learning skills of communication, collaboration, creative thinking and critical thinking. Current programs are Mandarin lessons for students in years 5 and 6, a whole school public speaking program, reading recovery, personal learning pathways for indidgenous students and individual learning plans for students with special needs. The STEM ( science, technology, engineering and Maths) is an integral part of lthe learning experiences from years 3 to 6. The School participates in sport gala days and in school sporting clinics. The strong EALD population has support from a specialised teacher each day.Along with a positive rewards system, the school has participates in the Positive Behaviour Learning Program.
