King Street Public School

King Street Public School is one of three public schools in the township of Singleton in NSW. King Street's zone encompasses the southern section of town and the rural areas to the south and east of Singleton. Our school is a learning community in which everyone is challenged, enriched and supported through quality classroom experiences, community participation and strategic management. We ensure that we provide equal opportunities for our students, affirm the shared responsibility of parents, teachers and children for the education of our students, stress the importance of caring relationships and the fostering of mutual respect between all community members and promote academic knowledge and social, sporting and cultural skills through activity and experience. Literacy, numeracy, healthy living and environmental education are priority target areas of the curriculum. Students and teachers are supported by the Best Start, Positive Behaviour for Learning and National Partnership - literacy programs. In recent years, King Street has been recognised by the Keep Australia Beautiful committee as a school of excellence in environmental education. Partnerships with the wider community ensure student involvement and support long after they leave King Street School. King Street's motto is 'Our Best Always'.
