Guise Public School
Guise Public School in Macquarie Fields has been serving the community since 1975. It is a K-6 school with an Autism support unit consisting of 3 classes. Our staff are enthusiastic and dedicated professionals who support and promote student development with carefully planned, relevant and challenging learning experiences. The school provides outstanding teaching and learning programs for students within a stimulating and caring environment. The staff at Guise Public School is committed to a quality teaching and learning model and have high expectations for all student learning and behaviour. Specialised teaching/learning programs are provided for all students, including students who have English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EALD), Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, children who are Gifted and Talented and students with special needs. The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) of funding supports literacy and numeracy development across the school allowing us specialist equipment and staff. Guise Public School is part of the Early Action for Success initiative, where a Deputy Principal Instructional Leader supports quality teaching and learning. Staff provide tiered interventions that focus on improved literacy and numeracy outcomes for all students Kindergarten to Year 2. The school's facilities offer a fully equipped hall, air-conditioned classrooms, a COLA, a large playing field, sets of iPads, mini-laptops and interactive whiteboards in all classrooms. The school provides a healthy canteen daily and a free breakfast club every morning. A committed group of parents fundraise through the school P&C to ensure the best opportunities for each child.
