Hayes Park Public School

Hayes Park Public School (enrolment 561, 9% English as Additional Language/dialect, and 8% identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) is a dynamic learning environment with a focus on quality teaching and learning, a full and balanced curriculum and great care for the well-being of children. Our students are placed in 22 mainstream classes, and an IO support class. Our teaching staff are dedicated professionals who are committed to collaborating in teams, providing quality experiences, and continually seeking to implement best practice. The school’s priorities include; evidence based, differentiated literacy and numeracy teaching, inquiry based and future focussed learning, higher order thinking and strong partnerships. Hayes Park Public School is a Positive Behaviour for Learning school. School funds are strategically used for additional literacy and numeracy support through an intervention team. A self-funded transition to school program occurs to support early intervention and school readiness for incoming Kindergarten students.
