Ringrose Public School

Ringrose Public School has a strong reputation in the community and prides itself on meeting the educational, personal and social needs of its students to maximise their potential. We encourage all of our students to embrace our school rules of 'Be Responsible', 'Be Respectful' and 'Be a Good Learner'. We partner closely with our whole school community in order to provide a positive, secure and nurturing learning environment. Our school is committed to it's three strategic directions of Excellence in Learning, Excellence in Teaching and Leading, and Excellence in Strong Partnerships. Enhanced learning opportunities are inclusive of quality teaching pedagogy with a clear focus on continuous improvement in Literacy and Numeracy. Our strong teaching programs are complemented by Reading, Learning Support and English as a Second Language programs. The curriculum is enriched through updated technologies and all classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and networked computers. Our students utilise  iPads, notebooks and XO laptops to support and engage them in the learning process. The Positive Behavioural Interventions and Strategies (PBIS) program is embedded in the life of the school and there is a strong commitment to the Wellbeing Reform. Our students are provided with enhanced learning experiences in a range of dynamic Sporting, Interest Groups and Creative Arts programs. Collaborative planning and decision making are valued by our dedicated community and the school is well supported by our active Parents and Citizens' Association who also coordinate our Canteen and Uniform Shop. All classrooms are well resourced, air-conditioned and carpeted. Our library is spacious and well equipped and our school hall is used for extra-curricular activities, assemblies and key school events. The school has a large, grassed playing area as well as a Covered Outdoor Learning Area (COLA), new Playground Equipment, Quiet Area and multi-purpose courts. Before and after school care, as well as vacation care, is provided on site by Cumberland Council. Indeed Ringrose Public School is about excellence!
