Weilmoringle Public School

Weilmoringle Public School is situated in far north western NSW and services a small community of approximately 60 people of whom about 90% are of Aboriginal background. The core values of the school are to provide a happy, safe, respectful and stimulating environment catering for the individual learning needs of the students. The school places a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy and is supported by the Country Area Program and Priority Schools Program. The school continues to incorporate the Reading 2 Learn strategies into its literacy programs and aims to provide children with as many opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities such as swimming, athletics, sports and technology camps and whole-school excursions. Students of Weilmoringle Public School regularly qualify for district and regional athletics, cross country and swimming carnivals. Our school enjoys the support of the wider school community and encourages community members to visit the school at every opportunity including end of term assemblies, fetes, Parents and Citizens Association meetings, in-class tutoring and community barbeques. All students are given equal opportunities to achieve to the best of their abilities in all subject areas.
