Casula Public School

At Casula Public School our purpose is to educate our students to be critical and creative thinkers, active citizens, successful learners, skilled communicators and self-aware and confident individuals. This is achieved in a supportive, engaging and safe learning environment where we work in authentic partnership with our broader school community. The school is exceptionally proud of our multicultural population with over 60 cultural groups represented. The school has an Opportunity Class. There is a strong focus on catering for the gifts and talents of students through Public Speaking, Debating and Maths Olympiad. The school achieves above average results in NAPLAN, with a high number of students gaining entry to selective streams. A variety of opportunities exist in the Creative and Performing Arts, through the development of strong partnerships with the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Theatre Company, Museum of Contemporary Arts, Casula Powerhouse and local artists who work alongside students to develop and nurture their creativity. Student wellbeing is a priority at the school with a number of programs used to promote resilience, cooperation and confidence. A multidisciplinary Learning Support Team ensures that appropriate adjustments are in place to enable all students to flourish. The school employs a number of health professionals including a speech and occupational therapist to work in the early years. Casula Public School is proud of the open and collaborative relationships with parents, caregivers and members of the wider school community.
