Garden Suburb Public School

Garden Suburb Public School staff, parents and students are united in providing quality education in a caring environment for mainstream and two support  classes for students with Autism. It has a proud tradition of delivering high quality teaching and learning programs for students from K to 6. The students are informed learners who work towards personal goals and are involved in a wide range of quality school programs. Garden Suburb Public School has a student enrolment of 210 and caters for children K to 6. There are 8 mainstream classes and two support classes (7 students in each) for students with Autism. The school supports a Concert Band and GSPS LIve singing group, an active and successful Environmental Education program, high levels of technology teaching, a wide variety of sporting programs and high academic standards across the six Key Learning Areas.The quality programs that all classes are currently implementing are Mathe Plus mathematics, L3 (Literacy, Language Learning), Focus on Reading, Program Achieve (You Can Do It) and Good for Kids Good for Life (Crunch and Sip). Garden Suburb Public School has interactive technology in every classroom and has a fully equiped computer lab available to every class.The school also has ipads for each stage for use in classrooms. The school has an active parent body, volunteers in classrooms, the canteen and the P and C.The school  has strong community ties with Cardiff High School and the Cardiff Community of Schools, Garden Suburb Nursing Home and the local Aboriginal community. The school's staff are hard working and committed to achieving quality educational outcomes for all students. Our student leadership teams actively engage in all school areas.
