Albion Park Rail Public School

Albion Park Rail Public School is dedicated to providing quality education in a stimulating, and caring environment where active participation in all aspects of school life is encouraged. Our Motto 'Ad Optima Contentite: All Striving for the Best' is the central theme behind the educational program and direction our school is moving towards. This is being achieved through the provision of exceptional student welfare programs that help develop community values in our students, tolerance of differences and improved learning outcomes for our students. Early intervention, environmental education, peer support, camping programs along with Aboriginal Education, Boys' and Girls' education strategies and special needs classes all make up the rich tapestry that creates our school and its learning environment. A school where Teacher Professional Development and Quality Teacher programs are utilised to enhance academic rigour in the classroom. Innovation and educational risk taking are encouraged, with teachers trying new ideas that are educationally based to help develop a 'Learning Community' culture that will support student outcomes and permeate the wider Albion Park Rail community. The school plays an important role in the community as it supports a Schools as Community Centre, working with parents and children from 0 to 8 years. This centre supports adult parenting courses, Aboriginal and autistism play groups, young mothers and many interagency initiatives. The school has developed strong links to the Aboriginal community through its projects and work with the AECG. Students with diagnosed disabilities number ten percent of the student population and are supported by four designated special needs classes.
