Warnervale Public School

Warnervale Public School is a modern, attractive school, situated in the Wyong Shire on the Central Coast of New South Wales. It is part of the Wadalba Schools Learning Community which provides a cohesive, collaborative schools network for the growing Hamlyn Terrace area. From its establishment in 1958 as a small, rural community school, Warnervale Public School is now in a growing community with a current enrolment of 540 students including 13% Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. The school has a strong inclusive school community, with high expectations, shared priorities and clear directions. Our school aims to provide a safe and happy learning environment that is attractive, stimulating and challenging. We ensure literacy and numeracy outcomes are individualised and targeted to enable all students to accept increasing responsibility for their own learning and behaviour. Our collaborative and enthusiastic staff provide a challenging and creative learning environment. We enjoy strong positive partnerships with our parent community and are proud of our reputation for providing a well-rounded successful education. Our technology philosophy is to engage students to utilise Digital Technologies in an authentic and challenging manner and to enable staff to differentiate the curriculum across all Key Learning Areas, with emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy. Academic, cultural, sporting and personal achievements are recognised and celebrated. Warnervale has a strong Performing Arts program which includes four Dance groups, a Didge group, a guitar group and two School Choirs. Students have many opportunities to participate in sport activities, Dance, public speaking, chess, cultural activity groups, Science Club and leadership opportunities through the school's SRC. The school's environment group have been proactive in the establishment of new garden areas, vegetable gardens, a bush tucker garden, composting, care of our chickens and paper recycling. At Warnervale, we continually strive to empower our students To Learn To Live by providing opportunities for developing the potential of each child within a caring and supportive proud public school environment.
