Oatlands Public School has strong literacy and numeracy programs, a highly qualified, dedicated staff and a caring and suportive school community offering students the best opportunities for success and personal well-being. Our school offers a well established enrichment program that ensures students enjoy success in a range of pursuits. We are proud of our students' achievements in academic areas, public speaking and dance. Our school continues to achieve excellent results in sporting competitions and acceptance to selective high schools. Our interactive learning program engages students through the use of a range of technologies developing high-order skills in problem solving, investigation and presentation. The school has a modern computer lab, interactive whiteboards and TVs, iPads and computers in every classroom. A supportive and comprehensive welfare framework forms the background to our highly successful student leadership and collaborative social programs. All children develop strong networks throughout the grades enhancing social skills in a positive, nurturing environment. Our huge landscaped grounds have well-established trees, attractive gardens and a large Covered Outdoor Learning Area. Oatlands Public School is situated two kilometres north of the Parramatta Central Business District in the centre of Sydney. The school has a active and supportive P&C and also houses the Jill Sherlock Library, a State facility to support teachers and parents working with children with high support needs. Before and after school care and vacation care during the holidays and on School Development Days is available on-site.
