Macquarie Fields Public School

Macquarie Fields Public School was established in 1957 and has grown into a large primary school. The students come from a variety of cultural backgrounds which are both valued and celebrated. The school stands by its motto of 'Let Us Excel' by providing quality academic, cultural and sporting programs. The school offers enrichment classes to cater for gifted and talented students and literacy support classes for students in Stage One to cater for learning needs. The Reading Recovery program supports Year One students learning to read. Many extra curricular activities are offered such as choir, steel band, chess, dance group and the school skipping team. Students have many opportunities to be involved in sporting activities including carnivals, Gala day teams for various sports, zone, area and state representation as well as active after school sport. The school serves an area of residential land featuring both public and private housing. The school has a positive image within the community. An active parent body supports the school in decision making and fundraising.The core values are reflected in the school rules Be Safe, Be Kind, Cooperate and Show Respect.
