Figtree Public School
Fingal Head Public School is a three teacher school in the Tweed Heads/Ballina District. There is a significant number of Aboriginal students, who make up 35 per cent of the school population. Staff have a firm commitment to quality learning and quality teaching in a safe caring environment, based on the development of self worth. There is a focus on Early Learning and on the use of innovative technology to enhance student learning outcomes within the school's curriculum. These are both valued and supported by the parents and the wider community. The school's stated aims are to encourage self discipline and critical thought through the acquisition of knowledge, skills and the competencies necessary to participate in and contribute to society. We also aim to provide a sound educational environment where students are happy, caring and thinking individuals aware of their responsibilities and striving to achieve their maximum potential.
