Chullora Public School
Chullora Public School has approximately 310 students and caters to the needs of a low SES, high NESB community. The school is organised into stage-based learning teams led by a dedicated and skilled executive team. We have a Support Unit that includes 3 classes catering for students with Autism. Explicit and systematic teaching in literacy and numeracy, underpinned by strong implementation of the teaching and learning cycle are focus areas in our school. Curriculum implementation in the six Key Learning Areas is informed by evidence-based practice and the Quality Teaching Framework. Chullora Public School provides programs that promote and celebrate diversity in teacher, student and parent leadership. A dedicated staff holds high expectations for teaching and learning and demonstrates this through commitment to their own ongoing learning and improvement and active engagement as a professional learning community. Our parent community highly values education and opportunities for student leadership and the school has a very committed and hard-working PC.
Cooler Classrooms Program
The NSW Government is committed to providing students with healthy and comfortable learning environments. That’s why we’ve invested a record $500 million to provide a sustainable air conditioning program for NSW schools.
To ensure the NSW Government responds to the needs of students in the hottest parts of the State, we will provide air conditioning in classrooms and libraries at schools that experience a mean maximum January temperature of 30°C and above.
Schools that sit below 30°C will be able to apply for funding to receive air conditioning in their classrooms and libraries, allowing more schools to benefit from air conditioning than ever before.
This school is eligible to apply for funding through the Cooler Classrooms Program. Applications for the second round of funding are now closed.
