Rowena Public School
Rowena Public School is a small isolated rural school in the far north-west, in Moree District. Enrolments have been gradually declining but so far the school has retained two teachers. The school aims to provide a safe and secure environment in which students develop their intellectual, physical, social and cultural abilities. It also aims to overcome the isolation inherent in this remote area. The school's success in achieving its aims is a result of the co-operative relationship between parents, staff and students. Programs to achieve successful outcomes are provided for every student, and stake-holders work together to ensure students have an equal opportunity to participate. The school provides individual support for all students. The school is a focus of community activities and provides access for local residents to the pool, library, photocopying, fax and computer services. It is justly proud of its buildings and facilities.
