Woodburn Public School
Woodburn Public School is a revitalised primary school setting catering for students in Kindergarten to Year 6. Our school provides an individualised and caring environment in a 'small' school setting. We have a relevant curriculum with emphasis on literacy and numeracy which prepares students for their life experiences. The school is proactive in developing students personal skills and has instilled the core values of Respect, Integrity and Participation as the values we all aspire to develop and display both at school and within the wider school community. The school draws students from a large area including the communities of Woodburn, Coraki, Broadwater, Evans Head, New Italy and the surrounding district. The school site has a long history, having previously served the community as Woodburn Central School. In 2000 a new Community School was opened in Evans Head and our site was transformed into a K to 6 setting. Since that time our school culture and climate has flourished, with a student focused feel to our school coming to the fore. Our school continues to embrace the technological world with interactive classrooms becoming the centre piece of teaching and learning.
