Wattle Flat Public School

Wattle Flat Public School is a small community school established in 1858 to provide education for children of gold mining families. The school consists of one multi-age classroom and is well-resourced with up to date technology in the classroom, a well-stocked library, heritage listed hall, a multi-purpose court, shaded fixed play equipment, grass play area and sand pit. The small class provides students with a more individual learning program and evokes a caring family attitude. In this supportive environment, the school provides children with educational experiences founded on basic skills that will challenge each child to develop to the best of their ability. Students are given a range of opportunities to participate in sporting, cultural and academic events throughout the year as a means of broadening their horizons intellectually, physically and socially. Our well-resourced school provides many opportunities for students to use technology and to participate in community activities. We strive to provide students with varied experiences and opportunities to help increase their confidence, self-esteem and ability to perform in any situation.
