Walhallow Public School
Walhallow is a beautiful country village surrounded by 1000's of hectares of productive agricultural farmland. Walhallow village is in the North West Slopes and plains region of New South Wales. The school is situated in the Liverpool Plains Shire local government area. Walhallow is 370 kilometres from Sydney and 32 kilometres west of the nearest sizeable town of Quirindi and has the small village of Caroona as its neighbour. Walhallow is a former Aboriginal reserve previously known as Caroona. It is here that the beautifully presented and well-maintained Walhallow Public School, the main landmark as you enter Walhallow, is located. The school is a proud icon and affirmity of public education that has withstood droughts, floods, famine and roving populations. Walhallow Public School is one of five schools in New South Wales with an all-Aboriginal enrolment which currently stands at 17.
