Toongabbie Public School

Toongabbie Public School has been serving its local community since 1886. Strong community support is a recognised feature of the school. Diverse cultural and social student backgrounds assist in providing caring and tolerant attitudes and values. The school's purpose is to provide quality education for all in a caring environment where students can achieve their personal best, and this underpins all school planning and practice. Excellence and personal best efforts are encouraged and acknowledged. While special focus is placed on literacy and numeracy, the school offers a broad range of all curricular and extra-curricular programs, including band, chess, choir, dance, debating, drama and interschool sport. There is a strong focus on environmental education and student leadership. All classrooms are fitted with interactive whiteboards, ensuring a focus on technology use and understanding complements the school's teaching and learning programs. The school is growing quickly with a waiting list for out-of-area students being established for the first time for 2011 enrolments.
