Educational programs include Accelerated Literacy incorporating comprehension strategies, Count Me In Too mathematics,L3 and TEN. Effective support programs are developed for children identified with special needs and these programs are monitored by an experienced, caring learning support team. Stockinbingal Public School is very well resourced, with Interactive White Boards in all classes, a high ratio of computers to students and wireless access throughout. This computer technology is used effectively throughout the school to enhance the delivery of the teaching process and is constantly being updated. While our school has a strong academic focus, we strive to provide a well rounded education that embraces all aspects of learning including debating, environmental education, drama and dance. Students demonstrate their flair for the arts each term during a special assembly, when parents and friends gather at the school to watch each class perform. Our school employs a specialist musician who leads an all inclusive choir program and also provides individual tuition. We have a sports program that is structured to complement the carnivals that are run throughout the year, focusing on skills development, participation and enjoyment. This year our school had outstanding success winning the Baldry Shield Small Schools Athletics Carnival, and coming runners-up in the Binalong Small Schools Swimming Carnival and the handicap section of the PSSA Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics Carnivals. Our School operates a Smart Start program throughout the year designed to transition pre school children into the school environment in a fun, educational manner. Stockinbingal Public School is the hub of the community, with an extremely supportive and dedicated parent body who work side by side with the staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for their children.
