Rollands Plains Upper Public School
Rollands Plains Upper Public School offers a small-school learning environment with large school opportunities. We strive to innovate, educate and challenge each of our students to achieve their personal best, through quality academic, sporting and social programs. We offer small class sizes with individualized learning programs by specialist teachers. Our community values are embedded in our school's direction led by a highly active Parents and Citizens Association. Our support for strong community spirit is demonstrated through our high level of achievement and participation in the annual Wauchope Show, Port Macquarie Eisteddfod and the CWA Cultural Study. Our up to date technology provides each of our students with individual computer access, using technology to enhance learning and assist our students in becoming active global citizens. We participate in many sporting events including Small Schools Carnivals, and Gala Days, and offer specialized sporting programs including Learn to Swim. Our students have the opportunity to participate in many extra- curricular activities including CSIRO Scientists in Schools Program, raising chickens, vegetable-growing, excursions and camps.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories. We strive to ensure every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learner in NSW achieves their potential through education.
