Revesby Public School was established in 1896. The school has been providing quality educational services for 121 years. It is a vibrant and innovative learning community that is committed to delivering excellence within a rich and diverse learning environment where every student has the opportunity to achieve their personal best through engaged, active learning, respectful and supportive environment. The school has a student population of 327. There are twelve mainstream classes and three support classes for students with disabilities (I.O., I.M. and Autism). 72% of our students come from backgrounds other than English and there are 27 language backgrounds represented at the school. Students are offered a broad range of academic, sporting, cultural and music programs and comprehensive extra-curricular programs in sport, creative arts, debating and public speaking. Revesby Public School is a dynamic learning community focussed on providing a relevant education for the 21st Century. There is a current focus on embedding quality teaching into literacy and numeracy and the development of creativity and innovative technology practices. Students are engaged in quality programs including L3, Focus on Reading, Targeting Early Numeracy (TEN) and Taking Off With Numeracy (TOWN). Our school staff is enthusiastic, dedicated and they continually develop their professional skills and knowledge so that they can provide quality education for every child. Revesby Public School has a dedicated staff comprised of both early career and experienced teachers. Teachers deliver a culture of high expectations, differentiate learning to support or extend students and promote self-worth and resilience in students. Our vision as quality educators is to inspire confident life-long learners who have the ability to thrive and adapt to the demands of an ever changing world. Our school promotes excellence in teaching and learning to enable all students to realise their full potential in an inclusive and equitable environment. Parental involvement is highly valued and the Parents and Citizens' Association plays a vital role in supporting school programs and improving educational outcomes for all students. The parent community is actively engaged in the school and has high expectations for teaching and learning. Revesby offers excellent facilities including a new library, video-conferencing equipment, an innovative computer lab, a school hall, a school museum and grassed playground areas. All classrooms have computers, electronic whiteboards, air-conditioning and wet areas. The school has a leased canteen that operates five days per week. The YMCA operates the on-site before and after school care program. Supervision is available between 7:00 - 9:00am and 3:00 - 6:00pm. This program is available on a regular or casual basis. Students, staff and the community work collaboratively to encourage resilience, confidence, creativity and independence in our learners.
