Quaama Public School

Quaama Public School provides a caring and supportive environment in which children enjoy quality learning. Our committed and experienced staff enable students to learn, create and express themselves to become excellent citizens. Our school has a strong emphasis on achievement in literacy, numeracy, technology, the performing arts and sport. The school enjoys high levels of parent and community participation with parents actively involved in sub-committees, fundraising, parent educational programs and classroom activities. The school is located in a picturesque rural village on the far south coast of NSW. It was founded in 1877 and has provided continuous service for over 120 years. Currently the school has three multi-age classes and is well resourced and maintained, with modern classrooms, covered outdoor play area and large gardens and play ovals. Our school supports academic excellence with resources including: networked computer classrooms, interactive whiteboards and online technology. We also have: spacious grounds with a large undercover cola and play equipment, opportunities for environmental programs, a large well stocked library, healthy lifestyle activities including Active After School Programs and sport. Classroom learning is enriched through extension programs and other diverse activities in which we regularly achieve success at regional and state level. Our students are enthusiastic participants in; maths, writing, science activities and competitions, sport, music, band, choir and dance, annual performances, gifted and talented programs at Bournda Environmental Education Centre. Our inspiring peer support  programs encourage leadership and citizenship across the entire school community. Students feel valued and respected in the nurturing, caring atmosphere of our school.
