Nimbin Central School provides quality education for students from the village of Nimbin and the surrounding rural areas. The school community is culturally and socio-economically diverse. Nimbin Central School's core beliefs and values have the focus of fostering a love of learning, academic success through diversity and a commitment to promoting active citizenship in a safe, sustainable and caring environment. The school plays an important role in the community. Each semester the community celebrates learning through The Big Bahzooley performances where students are able to showcase their considerable talent to a broad audience. The school hosts the community Weave and Mend festival which attracts people from all over the state. Students at Nimbin Central School are supported in all aspects of their learning by experienced and dedicated teachers. There is a considerable focus on, and commitment to, sustained teacher learning. Many of our teachers have had a long association with the school and are fully cognisant of the contextual factors impacting on students' learning.
