Tomaree Public School

Tomaree Public School, located in scenic Port Stephens, is a vibrant and inclusive community where students are nurtured, and staff and families are valued. Together, we foster a high-expectation environment that ignites a passion for learning through dedicated staff, quality teaching, and diverse opportunities, especially in High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE). Sharing a site with Tomaree High School as part of the Tomaree Education Centre provides unique transition and specialist learning opportunities in creative arts, STEM, cultural activities, and sports. We honour Worimi land and benefit from the support of the Youyoong AECG, staff Defence Mentors, and strong university partnerships with the University of Newcastle. Our students enjoy numerous extracurricular options including sports, dance, drama, choir, rock band, garden club, biodiversity challenges, pre-school leadership, nursing home visits, chess, cultural groups, public speaking, debating, Premier’s Reading Challenge, Spelling Bee, competitions and leadership programs. A strong student leadership team actively contributes to school life and decision-making. Committed to the NSW Department of Education’s vision, Tomaree Public School strives to ensure every student learns, grows, and belongs within an equitable and outstanding education system.
