Morpeth Public School with a currrent enrolment of 178 students was established in 1862 and holds a unique place in a semi-rural area north-west of Newcastle about 2km from the city centre of Maitland. Proud traditions established over many generations continue to be nurtured and maintained by experienced and caring staff and supportive parents. 'Strive to Excel' is the school's motto. Morpeth Public School has an established reputation for meeting the needs of all students including those with high support needs, talented and gifted children and those with special learning needs, and is committed to providing the best possible educational experiences for our students to achieve their personal best.
