Matong Public School
Matong PS is located sixty-six kilometres North-West of Wagga Wagga in the Riverina Region of NSW. It is a small, rural school that directly caters for the individual needs of its students and it enjoys a reputation for solid achievement in literacy, numeracy and working with technology. Our mission is to provide a quality learning environment in which students feel nurtured and empowered to become lifelong learners. The teaching staff is committed to continually strengthening its capacity to deliver a broad and high quality curriculum to all students in an enjoyable, supportive and stimulating atmosphere where all students are able to realise their potential in order to become responsible, respected citizens who are prepared to meet the challenges of the future and expand their vision of the world. This commitment, combined with the strong support the school enjoys from its parents and wider community, as well as our ability to join with nearby small schools, enables the school to successfully work towards its objectives and ensure that its size and isolation do not impact negatively on the education of its students.
